by joe Karstadt & his wife kate karstadt.  
they have 4 children; josh, elliot, max & isabella


Owner - Founder - Head Instructor

5th Degree Black Belt

Mr. Joe has been training in TaeKwonDo for over 25 yrs.  His ability to connect with his students and bring out the best in them is second to none.  His dynamic teaching style ensures that each student is getting the most of their training and although he is strict, he is always fair.  Mr. Joe is a member of the U.S. TaeKwonDo Team and has competed successfully in 7 International Competitions and holds more than 10 National Championship Titles.  He was a member of the U.S. Men's TaeKwonDo Team that won 2 Gold Medals at the 2004 ITF

World Championships in South Korea.  

He is also a member of the Official TaeKwonDo Hall of Fame.

Mrs. Kate is the brains and organization behind JSK TaeKwonDo.  Her impeccable attention to detail is what makes JSK what it is today.  From scheduling your first class, to organizing your child's next birthday party and beyond, she is the one to get it done!

3rd Degree Black Belt

Being the son of Kate and Joe Karstadt, Josh has already been exposed to martial arts for over 10 yrs and is a member of the U.S. Junior Boys TaeKwonDo Team.  He has competed in 3 International Tournaments and holds 7 U. S. National Titles.  He has a great ability to inspire students to always want to be better and is an essential component of the JSK Teaching Staff.

Mr. H started TaeKwonDo with Mr. Joe when he was 9 years old.  In the 20 years since then, he has grown up to be an outstanding Martial Artist and Instructor.  Because he has had the privilege of working so closely with Mr. Joe for so many years, he understands the true value each and every student holds and does his best to make sure the students work toward their highest potential.    

He has competed on and coached many U.S. National Teams and is a current U.S. TaeKwonDo Team Coach.
